Description
The Memphis Audio SRX1240V is a 12-inch Street Reference subwoofer with a single 4-ohm voice coil. It is designed for car audio bass installations using a sealed or ported enclosure.
The driver combines a polypropylene cone and rubber surround with a progressive poly-cotton spider, anodized aluminum voice-coil former and 12 AWG compression terminals. Memphis lists a 4.92-inch mounting depth.
Confirm the enclosure cutout and internal volume against the supplied model documentation before construction. Check the current power rating when selecting an amplifier, and match its output to the single 4-ohm coil. This model has a different wiring configuration from the dual-coil SRX1244V.
